The Netsys 10G Single Strand Single Mode Fiber Media Converter Kit (NM-2100GSKIT) provides a complete solution for extending high-speed Ethernet over long-distance single-mode fiber. The kit includes two NM-2100G 10G media converters pre-populated with a matched pair of 10G BiDi SFP+ transceivers, allowing a point-to-point fiber link up to 20km (12.4 miles) over a single strand of single-mode fiber.
Each NM-2100G media converter provides one RJ-45 copper Ethernet port supporting 100M/1G/2.5G/5G/10GBase-T and one 10G SFP+ fiber slot. This makes the kit a strong upgrade path for customers moving beyond traditional Gigabit fiber conversion into modern multi-gig and 10G network environments.
The included BiDi SFP+ modules are installed as a matched pair using complementary transmit and receive wavelengths. This allows the kit to operate over one fiber strand while maintaining full-duplex 10G fiber connectivity between locations.
