The Netsys NHG-200CKIT G.hn Gigabit Ethernet Over Coax Kit extends Ethernet networks beyond the standard 328-foot (100m) limitation by using existing 75Ω RG59 or RG6 coaxial cable infrastructure. Using Wave-2 G.hn technology, the kit supports up to 1.7Gbps aggregate bandwidth for Gigabit-class Ethernet extension over coaxial cable.

Designed for retrofit networking applications, the NHG-200CKIT provides a cost-effective alternative to installing new Ethernet or fiber cabling in buildings where coaxial cable is already in place. It is well suited for MDUs, hotels, campuses, surveillance networks, classrooms, multi-room networking, and other commercial environments where running new cable may be expensive, disruptive, or impractical.

Two identical NHG-200C adapters are included for simple plug-and-play deployment with no software or configuration required. Each unit features dual 10/100/1000Base-T Ethernet ports for connecting switches, wireless access points, IP cameras, computers, and other Ethernet networking equipment through the coaxial extension link.

Support for both point-to-point and point-to-multipoint networking allows installations to scale up to 16 NHG-200C adapters on a shared coaxial infrastructure. The integrated TV/STB passthrough port supports television signal frequencies from 250MHz to 1.2GHz, allowing compatible TV or set-top box services to coexist with Ethernet data over the same coaxial cabling.

Additional commercial networking features include IEEE 802.1Q VLAN pass-through, QoS prioritization, AES-128 encryption, link-quality indicators, and support for coaxial attenuation up to -76dB. Maximum operating distance is up to 5,900 feet (1.8km) in point-to-point configurations, depending on cable quality, topology, attenuation, and deployment conditions.
