The GigaPort 100M/1.25G/2.5G Fiber Media Converter (NM-2000E) is a media converter that translates transmission signals from RJ-45 twisted-pair network cable (10/100/1000Base-T) to single mode or multimode fiber optic cable (1.25G/2.5G). The DIP switch panel on the rear of the device allows users to easily select between 1.25G/2.5G SFP modes, enable/disable Link Fault Passthrough (LFP), and isolation mode for the RJ-45 Ethernet LAN ports.
The NM-2000E GigaPort Fiber Media Converter supports conversion between 10/100/1000Base-T copper and 1000Base-LX / SX fiber networks, which are SC / SFP / WDM transceivers for single-mode or multi-mode media as required. The Netsys NM-2000E GigaPort Fiber Media Converter requires an SFP fiber optics, 1000Base-T copper, or xDSL module (one per unit, sold separately) to function.
With high performance data transmission and easy installation, the NM-2000E provides the ultimate ISP network solution for FTTH (Fiber to the Home), FTTC (Fiber to the Curb), or for ISPs for FTTB (Fiber to the Building), and can also be utilized for small office network environments.
