Description

The NV-700L Managed VDSL2 Modem is the latest managed solution for point-to-point applications requiring an Ethernet link at distances exceeding the natural distance limitations of network cable. Our most flexible product to date, the NV-700L can be configured in CO or CPE mode using the web based management tool, and provides Ethernet connectivity at distances up to 10,826 feet (3.3km) with line speeds topping 100Mbps (up to 1,000 feet) over a single twisted-pair of network or phone grade cable.

The NV-700L's web based management tool allows users to manage and monitor the devices remotely on the network and supports features such as 8 selectable VDSL modes, and static routing for IPv4 and IPv6 forwarding, among others so users can tailor the configuration settings to suit the specific needs of their application.

Simple to install and use, the Netsys NV-700L VDSL2 when configured in CO mode is typically located in the Central Office, Computer Room, Wiring Closet, with one of its RJ-45 Ethernet Port connected to a router or switch. The Line Port of the NV-700L (RJ-11 port or 2-pin terminal block) is connected to a single twisted pair of network or phone grade cable extending to the remote device location. A compatible remote unit such as another NV-700L configured in CPE mode, or NV-202, is placed at the remote location, with its Line Port connected to the same single twisted pair of network or phone grade cable, and the Ethernet Port/s connected to the remote network device/s (router, switch, WAP, etc.) Once the Netsys CO and CPE devices are connected to the AC power source, the link is established and automatically configured for the maximum speed based on the surrounding environment.
