Description
The Netsys 4-Pair G.SHDSL.bis Ethernet Extender Kit (3040EKIT) provides the ultimate long-range solution for point-to-point Ethernet connections up to 22,000 feet (6.7 km) and speeds up to 61.184Mbps symmetrical (122Mbps aggregate) over 4 bonded pairs of existing phone or network cable. The kit includes two Netsys 3040E modems configured for plug-and-play operation.
The 3040EKIT is simple to install and use, with no configuration required in default mode. One 3040E G.SHDSL.bis modem is pre-configured as the Local Unit, while the other is pre-configured as the Remote Unit. The Local Unit is typically located at the origination point, connected to a router/switch via the LAN port, with the Remote Unit at the remote location, connected to the remote network device (NIC, router, switch, etc.) via the LAN port. Next, 4 twisted pairs (8 wires) of network or phone grade cable (up to 22,000 feet/6.7 km), is connected to the DSL port of each 3020E. Last, both units are connected to the AC power source and the link is established automatically.
