DESCRIPTION
The Netsys Long Reach Ethernet Coax/UTP Extender and Media Converter Kit (NL-230FKIT) is a versatile, low-cost solution for extending Ethernet or Fiber SFP connections over coax or UTP network cable beyond Ethernet's natural distance limitation of 328 feet (100m). The NL-230FKIT provides 100Mbps symmetrical up to 1,640 feet (500m) over Cat5 (and above) network cable, with long reach capability up to 2,642 feet (800m) at 10Mbps. For added flexibility, Additionally, the NL-230FKIT allows the user to extend Ethernet over coaxial cable up to 1,640 feet (500m), with speeds of 100Mbps symmetrical up to 984 feet (300m).
The NL-230FKIT comes with two (2) NL-230F Long Reach Ethernet Extenders and everything you need to quickly and easily deploy one point-to-point, high-speed Ethernet link with no configuration required. The RJ-45/coax combo LRE port allows seamless integration of UTP cable, while allowing the option of using coax for applications where UTP cable is not available. Lastly, the built-in SFP Port can be used with any standard Fiber SFP Transceiver (not included) making the NL-230FKIT an outstanding low-cost solution for FTTdp/FTTC/FTTB network applications.
