The Netsys VDSL CO Console Modem (NVF-200LS) works with the VDSL CPE Modem (NVF-200R) as a pair to provide high-speed point-to-point network connections up to 6,200 feet over existing phone lines. The NVF-200LS also features an auto-sensing/auto-configuring link operation that automatically optimizes the line speed up to 25 Mbps based on environment. The line speed can also be set manually using the DIP Switch.
Together, the NVF-200LS and VDSL CPE Modem (NVF-200R) include everything needed to quickly deploy one high-speed VDSL point-to-point network connection over extended distances and is great for delivering video, data, and voice services. The VDSL modem pair can utilize existing phone lines or any network-grade twisted pair cable and only require one (1) twisted pair (2 wires) to operate. The VDSL point-to-point solution saves you time and money by eliminating expense and hassle of fiber cable and equipment, leased line, and other data line services.
The VDSL CO Console Modem comes ready to plug and play out of the box for distances up to 6,200 feet (1.9 km) at an auto-configured line rate of 5 Mbps symmetrical, or line speeds of up to 25 Mbps symmetrical at distances up to 2,666 feet (0.8 km), which is more than perfect for most applications. The bandwidth is automatically optimized to achieve the best speeds possible based on the surrounding environment (line quality, etc.), with no configuration required. The line speed between the units can also be set manually using the DIP Switch. The NV-200L console modem also features built-in surge protection and built-in POTS/ISDN splitters to extend telephone (POTS/ISDN/PBX) service over the same 2 wires.
The VDSL CO Console Modemis also simple to install and use. The NVF-200LS unit is typically located in the Central Office, Computer Room, or Wiring Closet and its RJ-45 Ethernet port connects to a router or switch and its RJ-11 Phone port connects to the RJ-11 telephone jack of the POTS/ISDN line or PBX. Next, the Line Port of the NVF-200LS is connected to the RJ-11 telephone jack of the 2-wire twisted pair phone line (or network cable) connection extending (up to 6,200 feet/1.9 km) to the remote CPE location. The VDSL CPE Modem (NVF-200R) is placed at the remote location and connected to phone line jack, the Ethernet port of the remote network device (NIC, router, switch, etc.), and the telephone set or fax machine (if applicable). Last, the CO and CPE Units are connected to the AC power source and the link is established automatically on power up. Once the link is established, the NVF-200 units will automatically try to connect at 25 Mbps, and if the connection fails, it will attempt to reconnect at 15Mbps and finally at 5 Mbps. No configuration is required.
The Netsys VDSL CO Console Modem is used with the VDSL CPE Modem (NVF-200R) to provide one high-speed Network link anytime the length of a network connection exceeds the 328 feet (100m) distance limitation or when the available leased line alternatives are cost prohibitive.
