Telephone grade twisted-pair cable can be used, however, speed and distance will vary based the actual cable used, quality of line, and the environment. The NV-600L features four auto-sensing RJ-45 Ethernet Ports, full-featured Router functionality, and management via Web Browser (HTTP).

The extraordinarily high-speed connection provided by the NV-600L is ideal for delivering video, data, and voice services, including HDTV, VOD, video-conferencing, high-speed internet access, and advanced voice services including VoIP, as well as connecting to other network devices and satellite buildings. The NV-600L utilizes pre-existing phone lines or any other network-grade twisted pair cable and only require one (1) twisted pair (2 wires) to operate. The NV-600L is the ideal accompaniment to a fiber to the premises (FTTP) rollout, where fiber is used to provide the main line access and copper cable is split off to provide access to the satellites, or the NV-600L can be used to eliminate all-together the expense and hassle of fiber cable and equipment, leased line, and other data line services, saving you time and money.

TheNetsys NV-600L VDSL2 CO Modem comes ready for instant plug and play operation right out of the box for distances up to 4,200 feet (1,280 m). The NV-600L features auto-sensing/auto-configurating link operation, so there's no configuration required other than setting the networking address parameters (if required for your network). The NV-600L also features the ability to combine telephone (POTS/ISDN/PBX) service over the same 2 wires and features built-in POTS/ISDN splitters to eliminate external splitter devices.

The Netsys NV-600L VDSL2 CO Modem is simple to install and use. The NV-600L is typically located in the Central Office, Computer Room, Wiring Closet, or other central location and one of its RJ-45 Ethernet Port connects to a router or switch while its RJ-11 Phone port connects to the RJ-11 telephone jack or PBX, if the POTS (Plain Old Telephone Service)/ISDN feature is utilized. Next, the Line Port of the NV-600L is connected to the 2-wire twisted pair network cable or phone line extending to the remote device location. Then, a compatible remote unit such as the NV-600R Remote Unit is placed at the remote location and the Line Port is connected to network cable or phone line connection, the Ethernet Port/s are connected to the Ethernet port/s of the remote network device/s (NIC, router, switch, Access Port, etc.), and the Phone Port is connected to the telephone set or fax machine (if applicable). Next, the VDSL2 CPE Modem is connected to the AC power source and the link is established automatically on power up and is automatically configured for the maximum speed based on length and quality of the network cable or phone line. No line rate configuration required!
