Standards
The Netsys NM-1000E Universal Gigabit Media Converter is a media converter that translates transmission signals from a twisted-pair 1000BASE-TX cable (UTP) to 1000BASE-FX fiber optic cable. The converter automatically adapts to the highest level of performance supported by the device connected to the Ethernet port. When the device is a switch or a workstation that supports full-duplex, the converter adapts to the full-duplex mode and provides an effective 2000Mbps bandwidth. When the device connected is a hub or a workstation that supports only half-duplex, the converter adapts to the half-duplex mode and provides the nominal 1000Mbps bandwidth.
The NM-1000E Universal Gigabit Media Converter supports conversion between 1000Base-T and 1000Base-LX / SX network, which are SC / SFP / WDM connectors with single-mode or multi-mode media as required. The Netsys NM-1000E Universal Gigabit Media Converter requires an SFP or Mini-GBIC fiber optics module (one per unit, sold separately) to function.
With high performance of data transmission and easy installation, the NM-1000E provides the ultimate ISP network solution for FTTH(Fiber to the Home), FTTC(Fiber to the Curb), or for ISPs for FTTB(Fiber to the Building), and can also be utilized for small office network environments.
